On Thursday 9 March Swan Christian College proudly hosted the first Global Leadership Next Gen Conference held in WA. Our amazing Swan Student Leadership Team were instrumental in organising the conference for Year 11 students across the SCEA schools including Ellenbrook Christian College, Northshore Christian Grammar School, Mundaring Christian College and Swan Christian College.
The Global Leadership Summit Next Gen is a leadership conference hosted by many organisations across the world. They feature world class speakers who talk about building essential leadership skills to further advance students and professionals in their careers.
Students participated in engaging activities and heard from speakers about resilience and identity, as well as what it means to be a global citizen and to ‘live beyond yourself’.
The conference supported the 40 Hour Famine run by World Vision and featured guest speakers from World Vision such as Mr Noddy Sharma, Head of Church, Schools and Youth Engagement for World Vision along with other guest speakers.
The event has been sponsored by StreetX, BeyondSkate and Rebel Sport. The West Coast Eagles have generously donated a jersey signed by the 2022 Womens’ team and coach, Nat Fyfe, signed multiple pieces of memorabilia in support of the day.
Thank you Global Leadership Summit Next Gen and World Vision for organising a fantastic and inspiring conference. We’re excited to see our next generation of leaders rise up to the challenge to make a difference in the world!
