Today we woke up at 6:30, ate brekkie and headed to school. We taught the lessons that the Vetamorpus girls had planned. These lessons were on the subjects of David and Golith, raising Lazarus from the dead and heaven. It was fun to teach the kids these bible stories while some students were teaching these lessons, other students helped with the recruiting of the new students for next year. We asked them questions about their family situations and themselves.
At lunch time we handed out to every student a hat or beanie. They loved them and wore them around like gangsters. Some lucky kids also received footy jersies, which they also loved! It was so good to see the joy that came across the children’s faces when they received these gifts. School finished shortly after the gifts were given. We then got back on the bus and heading out to Jakarranda Mall where we we got the best ice-cream. Shortly after this we picked up the tailor made African dresses then headed home.
Today was a great day, like every other day we have experienced on this trip.
