Fenceline Theatre Company is Swan Christian College’s school-based theatre that operates under the premise of creating ‘space for students to create’.

The theatre classes under the leadership of Jane Hille provides students, the Alumni, parents, staff and the community with the opportunity to gain professional theatre experience.

Fenceline Theatre Company is one of Perth’s finest drama schools and some of the company’s performances have won awards at the Perth Fringe Festival.

ANYMAN (produced by Fenceline Theatre in conjunction with Shalom House) dealt with the story of addiction from the perspective of men in rehabilitation – a topic that affects many in our community. It was announced the joint winner of the Fringe World Theatre Award and was very well received by the College community as well as the wider community.
The Book of Everything by Australian playwright Richard Tulloch, based on Guus Kuijer‘s novel, was performed by Swan Christian College’s school-based theatre company Fenceline Theatre and directed by Jane Hille.
A modern, fresh and fun reinterpretation of the classic Shakespearean story of illusions, love and forest fairies, told in today’s English. Directed by Jane Hille and adapted by Dr Carolyn Harper.
Grizelina’s Gift is a play about a kingdom struggling with drought and a desperate king who hopes that his daughter’s marriage may help them all. Suitors come from far and wide bringing gifts to impress Grizelina, but none appear to do that. Her maids and servants believe she just likes opening presents.
Earlier in 2020 the 12 ATAR Drama class performed a version of Antigone as part of their required assessment. Over the course of 2020 Director, Jane Hille, reworked the script and offered this class and some of our Alumni the opportunity to perform Antigone at the 2021 Perth Fringe Festival.
Written by Director Jane Hille, this is a story about older people. People who have fallen in love, married and then lost that love, through a mismatch, illness or death. But loss it turns out is the great life leveller.
The story of the Ugly Duckling resonates with all of us in some ways. We have or will face adversity in life and yet each of us is created in the image of God and as such have gifts that we are called to discover and develop.
In this fractured fairy tale written by Charlie Lovett and directed by Fenceline Theatre’s own Jane Hille, Mr and Mrs Hood are lazy people and instead of attending to their daughters (they have two other, Medium Purple and Big Green Hood), they watch television endlessly.
Johnny Comelately is a story about a young man who has disengaged from his family, friends and school. He has been gobbled up by the lure of technology and the online world of playing games, watching YouTube clips, Instagram reels and TikTok clips.
It was a dazzling week from 27 March to 1 April, 2023 at Swan Christian College as more than 70 students and staff presented Disney’s High School Musical on Stage. The shows were sold out and audiences were raving about the talent they saw on stage and how much they enjoyed the performances.

  • Enrolments are now closed for 2024
  • Limited places available in Year 3, 2025
  • There are waitlists for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2025
  • There are also waitlists for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2026
  • We encourage you to submit applications at least two years in advance.
